Resource database inclusion criteria
Publications
- Publication types: books, reports, conference papers, presentations, journal articles.
- Format: print or digital.
- Availability: As the purpose of the register is to share and develop knowledge, the information must be available in the public domain. If not held in several other libraries, contributors are encouraged to make a copy available to the JV Barry Library at the Australian Institute of Criminology.
- Subjects: Specific criminal justice topics such as studies of victims, offenders, relationships with and experiences of the criminal justice system, crime reduction and prevention, particularly evaluation studies. Other topics may include related social issues such as health, housing, education, where the information included has a direct bearing on justice issues.
- Inclusion criteria: publications published after 2000 are included if they are cited in CINCH which have in the title, subject or abstract: 'Aboriginal' and 'evaluation' or 'Indigenous justice'
- Level: Research-based, not opinion pieces.
Datasets
Only national datasets have been included which relate to Indigenous justice. The information has been compiled from annual reports and research organisations websites.
Research Projects
The inclusion criteria for the research projects is as follows:
- All major justice research projects funded in 2004-2005 by the Australian Research Council and the Criminological Research Council are included.
- Recent research published in 2004-2005, and
- Current research which is forthcoming of the major justice research centres has been included.
