This section of the report covers crime, safety and justice issues in Indigenous communities. The section discusses various models of cooperative justice, including the Koori Court in Victoria and circle sentencing and youth conferencing in New South Wales, and Indigenous community responses to crime and safety, such as community justice groups and partnerships with local police which often involve cross cultural training.
