This report from the AIC’s Research and Public Policy series (no 111) is a collection of chapters from authors who have worked closely and collaboratively with police. It provides an overview of what is currently known about community policing in Australia and encourages further research and analysis of the issues and challenges highlighted in the report. It includes a chapter by Manuhuia Barcham on ‘Indigenous community policing: Building strength from within’.
