From corrections to community: a set of indicators of the health of Australia's prisoners

Description

This bulletin presents the first set of national indicators for prisoners’ health in Australia. The indicators are one outcome of the National Prisoner Health Information Development project, and have been developed in consultation with experts in the field. Reporting on them will assist in monitoring the health of prisoners, informing prisoner health service planning and delivery, and evaluating the provision of services. The first data collection for these indicators was conducted during 2009 and the inaugural national report on indicators of the health of Australia’s prisoners is expected to be released in early 2010 (Introduction).
