Punishment : two decades of penal expansionism and its effects on Indigenous imprisonment

Description

The article revisits Indigenous imprisonment and punishment through The Australian Prisons Project(APP). The APP was established in 2008 as a result of an Australian Research Council grant, where a major issue, the over-representation of Indigenous people in prison is the major focus. It also examines the sentencing, punishment and race, governing through crime and punishment, colonising punishment, waste management and the politics of neoliberalism.
