Regional plan 2004

Description

The Melbourne Metropolitan Regional Aboriginal Justice Advisory Committee (RAJAC) wants to see fewer Koories coming into contact with the justice system and to improve communication and treatment when they do interact with the system. RAJAC meetings have resulted in a number of programs, which will help reduce the overall numbers of Koories in the justice system, as well as increasing employment opportunities. This regional plan presents a profile of the Melbourne metropolitan Aboriginal community, identifies gaps in service delivery to the Koori community, and sets out the steps that will be taken over the next three years to run programs which address these gaps.
