Report of the NSW Women in Prison Task Force: to the Hon. John Akister, MP, Minister for Corrective Services (NSW)

Description

The NSW Women in Prison Task Force Report was released in 1985. It contained 269 recommendations. Central to the report was the view that the number of women in prison should be reduced and that most of the women in prison should not be there as they were not a threat to the community. Aboriginal women were a significant area of focus for the Taskforce.
