Research Report on Community Focus Groups: Appendix to Not Now, Not Ever ? Putting an End to Domestic and Family Violence in Queensland

Description

As part of the inquiry conducted by the Special Taskforce on Domestic and Family Violence in Queensland which was established in 2014, focus groups were undertaken to better understand community attitudes about the causes of, and responses to, domestic and family violence. The aim of the focus groups was also to evaluate what what types of primary prevention activities may be most effective in addressing the underlying causes of, and community response to, domestic and family violence in Queensland, including media messaging and public education campaigns. Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people were one of the groups specifically targeted to participate.
