Aboriginal Women Leaving Custody. Report into Barriers to Housing

Description

This is a recent evaluation of a program that provided legal assistance to Aboriginal women leaving custody to obtain housing in NSW. The report identifies the importance of housing to help prevent recidivism and highlights that many women lose their housing when in custody. This research identified a number of difficulties these women face and makes 20 recommendations to overcome these barriers.
