Closing the gap in the Northern Territory monitoring report, July - December 2010, Part Two

Description

Provides data collected between June and December of 2010 on the Northern Territory Emergency Response to reports of abuse and neglect against children, represented in ‘The Little Children are Sacred’ report. The measures were designed to protect children in the Northern Territory from abuse and neglect and improve the situation of Indigenous people in the Northern Territory. Part two of this report provides detailed information and analysis by sub measure. This report summarises developments and progress, reasons for the non-achievement of milestones, changes in policy direction, data limitations and actions to rectify these. Part two summarises findings in relation to early childhood, health, economic participation and welfare reform, land tenure, community safety and governance and leadership.
