Indigenous Remote Service Delivery Special Account: 2010-2011 Report

Description

The Indigenous Remote Service Delivery (IRSD) Special Account aims to: support high priority projects in remote Indigenous communities in the National Partnership Agreement on Remote Service Delivery; develop, promote, assist or improve the design, delivery and coordination of governance, community development, infrastructure and services in remote Indigenous communities; and support projects that address community priorities agreed between remote Indigenous communities and government. Projects funded from the IRSD Special Account are required to address one or more of the seven identified building blocks aligned with Council of Australian Government’s Closing the Gap initiative. Throughout this report, several study cases on the projects which contribute to the Closing the Gap blocks are presented in details. The report also describes the Special Account performance in 2010-11 with illustrated presentations for funding, expenditure of funds, performance indicator and projects funded.
