Description

This document sets out the full text of the Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Justice Agreement, an agreement between the Queensland Government and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Board, combined with a summary of the Agreement for community use. The Agreement commits to reducing by 50% the rate of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples incarcerated in the criminal justice system. It sets out a strategy and an action plan for 2000-2001, which are the first part of the Queensland Government and Torres Strait Islander Ten Year Partnership.
