Social Justice Report 2012

Description

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner is required to report annually to the Attorney-General regarding the exercise and enjoyment of human rights by Australia’s Indigenous peoples. The focus of the 2012 report is: International developments; Achieving effective, legitimate and culturally relevant Indigenous governance; Local government reform and the Intervention: disempowerment in the Northern Territory; and Effective governance in practice in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
