Working in indigenous perpetrator programs : proceedings of a forum

Controversial issues are raised in this conference, but are not new to people living in Aboriginal communities where violence and sexual abuse is, for many, a regular occurrence. Comment throughout the forum is from indigenous people and workers who are closely involved in service delivery to indigenous clients. Chapters outline forum recommendations, violence rehabilitation, the post-prison experience for male victims of sexual abuse, the Koori MEND Group anti-violence project, methods and models for program delivery, perpetrator programs, Aboriginal family violence, program evaluation, the Northern Territory Court Mandated Pilot Program for Offenders of Domestic and Family Violence, best practice versus intervention research, and violence and healing. Each chapter is separately indexed.
